When a terrace leaks: what we check
In areas such as Nucli antic, Les Arenes and Mas d'en Pinc strong sun and salt air dry out joints, rust railings and crack exposed membranes. We use UV-resistant materials and stainless steel or powder-coated aluminium trims suited to a seaside setting.
In areas such as Sa Riera, Aiguafreda and Sa Tuna we usually waterproof with bitumen membrane or reinforced liquid membrane, always continuous. We take it at least 20 cm up walls and parapets above the finished floor and protect it under door thresholds, where we find most leaks.
