From fixing point to handrail: how we approach it
Close to the sea, salt air eats into iron and low-grade stainless steel within a few seasons. We suggest 316 stainless steel, powder-coated aluminium or laminated glass, with stainless fixings and sealed anchors so water cannot get in (above all in Nucli antic, Les Arenes and Mas d'en Pinc).
For glass balustrades we use laminated safety glass in a channel set into the floor or held by stainless steel clamps. Each panel is levelled and the channel sealed so terrace water does not sit inside it.
