From old tiles to a clean splashback
Beach flats, often let for the season, have kitchens that get heavy use and quick cleaning. We suggest smooth glazed tiles and epoxy grout behind the hob and sink, which resists grease and stains (mostly in Nucli antic, Les Arenes and Mas d'en Pinc).
Next to the sink we apply a liquid waterproofing coat before tiling and seal the joint with the worktop with silicone. That way splashes never reach the plaster in the wall.
