Fan, duct and incoming air
In buildings in areas such as El Raval, El Barri Gòtic and La Barceloneta, a new outlet through the façade or light well affects common parts and goes through the owners' community. So we first check whether the existing duct will do and, if not, prepare a proposal for the community meeting.
For ducting in bathrooms in areas such as La Dreta de l'Eixample, L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni, we use smooth rigid pipe rather than corrugated flexible hose, on the shortest route through the false ceiling and with a slight fall outwards so condensation does not run back into the fan.

A timer is simple and enough for most bathrooms. A humidistat suits internal or heavily used bathrooms, as it only kicks in when there is steam.
04What if the building's shared shaft does not draw?
We check whether it is blocked or shared with other flats. Sometimes the right fan is enough; if not, we look at a dedicated outlet to the façade or light well.
