Why a drain stops flowing
Working in buildings in areas such as El Raval, El Barri Gòtic and La Barceloneta means short water shut-offs and noisy work only within the community's hours. We plan the drain replacement room by room so the kitchen or one bathroom stays usable, and carry pre-cut pipe up narrow stairs.
If the basin gurgles when the bath empties, the problem is usually venting. In homes in areas such as La Dreta de l'Eixample, L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni, we give each fixture its own trap and, where the stack is poorly vented, add an air admittance valve hidden inside a unit.
