From old bathroom to new: what we do
In older buildings in areas such as El Raval, El Barri Gòtic and La Barceloneta the bathroom shares a soil stack with the neighbours, and the floor is often built on beams and infill vaults. Before breaking anything out we check the stack and the floor, protect the shared staircase and take rubble out in bags by the shortest route.
On jobs in areas such as La Dreta de l'Eixample, L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni we set out the tiles before the first cut, so wall and floor joints line up and cut pieces end up in the least visible corners. With large-format tiles we check the wall is flat and, where needed, level it with mortar or moisture-resistant board.
After the visit you receive an itemised quote with labour and materials shown separately; during the work we protect hallways and floors and clear rubble daily. We also work in nearby areas: L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Esplugues de Llobregat and Sant Cugat del Vallès.

02Do the pipes need replacing when I renovate the bathroom?
We almost always recommend it: with the tiles already off, renewing supply and waste pipes avoids opening the wall again later for a leak in old pipework.
03Can the toilet or shower be moved?
Yes, as long as the waste pipe can reach the soil stack with enough fall. During the visit we check the route and tell you which layout changes are feasible.
04Can I choose the tiles and sanitaryware myself?
Of course. We advise on sizes and formats so everything fits, and the quote lists labour and materials separately.
