What we check before renovating a house
The houses we renovate in areas such as El Raval, El Barri Gòtic and La Barceloneta often have a narrow internal staircase, a back yard and a tiled or flat roof with decades of wear. We start with the roof and downpipes, and use the works to bring in more light through patios and rooflights.
To cut running costs for a house in areas such as La Dreta de l'Eixample, L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni, we insulate the roof and façade, fit thermally broken windows and renew the heating and cooling. A heat pump with underfloor heating works well once the envelope is insulated.
