From rusty steel to a sound balcony
On narrow streets access decides the method: from the balcony itself, from scaffolding or by rope access. We put up safety netting, take rubble down the shared stairs in bags and keep to the building's hours (often the case in El Raval, El Barri Gòtic and La Barceloneta).
Water is behind almost all the damage: we give the floor a fall to the outside, lay waterproofing under the tiles and fit a drip edge so water falls clear of the façade and the balcony below.

02Is a balcony with exposed steel dangerous?

Not always. A lot of the work can be done from the balcony itself; for the edge and the underside we use a platform, scaffolding or rope access depending on the height and the façade.
