Mechanical ventilation installation in Barcelona.

Where the unit goes and how the ducts run
In areas such as El Raval, El Barri Gòtic and La Barceloneta it is common to find inward-facing flats with winter condensation and windows that stay shut because of street noise. Heat recovery ventilation renews the air with the windows closed, and we organise the installation to disturb the neighbours as little as possible.
For flats in areas such as La Dreta de l'Eixample, L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni we find the heat recovery unit an accessible spot, be it the bathroom ceiling void, the utility gallery or a cupboard, so filters can be changed without dismantling anything. We connect the condensate drain and fit anti-vibration mounts.
With over 20 years in renovation work, we plan the ventilation at a site visit and set it out in writing, item by item. We work in the surrounding areas too: L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Esplugues de Llobregat and Sant Cugat del Vallès.

Frequently asked questions
01Mechanical ventilation installation in Barcelona: which areas do you cover?
We do this work in Barcelona, in areas such as El Raval, El Barri Gòtic, La Barceloneta, Sant Pere, Santa Caterina i la Ribera, La Dreta de l'Eixample, L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni, and also nearby: L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Esplugues de Llobregat and Sant Cugat del Vallès. Before starting we visit the property and prepare a detailed written quote.
02What is the difference between single-flow and balanced systems?
A single-flow system extracts air from the kitchen and bathrooms, and fresh air comes in through trickle vents in the windows. A balanced system supplies and extracts through ducts and, with heat recovery, reuses the warmth of the outgoing air.
03Is mechanical ventilation noisy?
Properly sized, it runs at low speed and is barely audible. We place the unit away from the bedrooms and use suitable ducts and silencers.
04Will I still need to open the windows?
Not to renew the air: the system does that continuously. You can open them whenever you like, but you no longer depend on it.
