What we check before building a partition
In shared buildings in areas such as El Raval, El Barri Gòtic and La Barceloneta we agree working hours with the residents' association and protect the entrance and lift while bringing materials up. Boards and studs are cut inside the flat, never in communal spaces.
When the partition encloses a bedroom, as clients often ask in areas such as La Dreta de l'Eixample, L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni, we use two layers of board each side and high-density mineral wool. For sliding doors the pocket frame is fixed in place before boarding.
A site manager coordinates the work, and when we finish we clear offcuts and plaster dust so the home is left clean. We also work nearby: L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Esplugues de Llobregat and Sant Cugat del Vallès.

Frequently asked questions
01Plasterboard partition walls in Barcelona: which areas do you cover?
We do this work in Barcelona, in areas such as El Raval, El Barri Gòtic, La Barceloneta, Sant Pere, Santa Caterina i la Ribera, La Dreta de l'Eixample, L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni, and also nearby: L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Esplugues de Llobregat and Sant Cugat del Vallès. Before starting we visit the property and prepare a detailed written quote.
02Does a plasterboard partition block noise?
Yes, if it is designed for it: mineral wool inside, double boards on each side and acoustic strips where it meets the floor and ceiling. We specify it according to the noise you want to keep out.
03Can I hang units or a TV on plasterboard?
Yes. We fit timber noggins or extra studs inside the wall where heavy units will go, and use plasterboard fixings for everything else.
04Is plasterboard suitable for a bathroom or kitchen?
Yes, with moisture-resistant board (the green one) in wet areas and, in the shower, waterproofing under the tiles.
