Neat transitions at doorways and where floors meet.

What we check before the first plank clicks in
In shared buildings in areas such as El Raval, El Barri Gòtic and La Barceloneta we use an underlay with good impact absorption so the neighbours below do not hear footsteps. Boxes of planks fit in the lift, and we agree cutting times with the residents' association.
In homes across areas such as La Dreta de l'Eixample, L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni we decide plank direction by where the light comes in and the shape of the room. The offcut is split so the last rows along the wall are not left too narrow.
The site manager plans clearing the rooms in turn, and when we finish we vacuum and take away packaging and offcuts. We lay laminate in the surrounding areas too: L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Esplugues de Llobregat and Sant Cugat del Vallès.

Frequently asked questions
01Laminate flooring installation in Barcelona: which areas do you cover?
We do this work in Barcelona, in areas such as El Raval, El Barri Gòtic, La Barceloneta, Sant Pere, Santa Caterina i la Ribera, La Dreta de l'Eixample, L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni, and also nearby: L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Esplugues de Llobregat and Sant Cugat del Vallès. Before starting we visit the property and prepare a detailed written quote.
02Can laminate go over existing tiles?
Yes, if the tiles are sound and the floor is flat. It sits on an underlay, so nothing needs breaking up; the floor rises slightly and doors sometimes need trimming.
03Which laminate works in a kitchen or bathroom?
One with a water-resistant core and sealed joints. Even so, next to the shower or bath we recommend porcelain tiles.
04What does the AC rating mean?
It shows wear resistance. AC4 is usually enough for a home; shops and busy areas are better with AC5.
