02What is the difference between a security door and an armoured door?
A security door is timber with a steel sheet inside; an armoured door has a steel leaf and frame. The latter is far tougher, but heavier, and needs stronger fixing.
03Can the new door match the rest of the landing?
Yes. The outer face can be ordered in the same finish as the other doors in the building, and the inner face to suit your home.
04Can my current door be reinforced instead?
Sometimes, with a multi-point lock, security cylinder and escutcheon. If the leaf or frame is weak, replacing the whole door is the sensible option.
