From pull strap to motor: how we work
In flats in areas such as El Raval, El Barri Gòtic and La Barceloneta, many windows face narrow streets or light wells, and old slats let noise and light through. We suggest foam-filled aluminium slats and work from inside, with no scaffolding, within the hours set by the residents' association.
To motorise shutters in areas such as La Dreta de l'Eixample, L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni we replace the axle with a tubular motor, run power from the nearest switch box and fit the switch beside the window. Then we set exactly where it stops at the top and bottom.

03Which slats insulate more, aluminium or PVC?
Foam-filled aluminium slats keep out more heat and noise and stand up well to strong sun. PVC is light and works well on small, sheltered windows.
