What we check before hanging a vanity unit
In older buildings in areas such as El Raval, El Barri Gòtic and La Barceloneta, the lift often cannot take a tall unit or an assembled double vanity. We carry them up in parts or by the stairs, with the landings protected, and assemble them inside the bathroom.
When we fit a unit with drawers in areas such as La Dreta de l'Eixample, L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni, we use a slimline or offset trap so the top drawer is cut back as little as possible. We seal the basin to the unit and the wall with sanitary silicone and test the waste at full flow.

Wall-hung keeps the floor clear and feels more spacious, but needs a solid wall. With weak partitions it is wiser to reinforce or pick a unit on legs.
04Can a socket go next to the mirror?
Yes, provided it respects the bathroom safety zones set by the REBT and has the right protection. We assess it on the visit.
