Frame, waste and boxing-in: how we handle it
In shared buildings in areas such as El Raval, El Barri Gòtic and La Barceloneta, the concealed cistern often ends up on the party wall with the next flat. We fill the boxing with mineral wool and choose acoustically insulated frames so the flush is not heard next door.
In homes in areas such as La Dreta de l'Eixample, L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni, we connect the waste with a PVC bend of the size the pan needs and check the fall to the stack. Before closing up we run a water test and leave the supply with its stop valve inside the frame.

Some, yes: the wall has to be opened or built out to house the frame, the waste adapted and the finish made good.
