Thermostatic, concealed or mixer: what we look at
In shared buildings in areas such as El Raval, El Barri Gòtic and La Barceloneta, small bathrooms leave little room between basin and wall. We choose spouts and handles that clear the mirror and the cabinet, and take out the old tap without straining decades-old pipes in the wall.
For concealed taps in bathrooms in areas such as La Dreta de l'Eixample, L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni, we set the valve body at the depth the tile thickness requires and pressure-test before closing the wall. We open only the area needed and replace the tiles.
We turn the water off only for as long as needed, protect basins and worktops and take the old tap away. A site manager coordinates the work, here and nearby: L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Esplugues de Llobregat and Sant Cugat del Vallès.

04Can concealed taps be fitted without redoing the bathroom?
The wall has to be opened to fit the concealed body, and the tiling in that area made good. We look at it on the visit and explain what it involves.
