Microcement in flats and houses: what we check locally
In early 20th-century buildings in areas such as El Raval, El Barri Gòtic and La Barceloneta, old masonry walls have cracks and patches of soft plaster. We repair those areas and lay glass-fibre mesh across the whole wall so cracks do not show through the finish.
In areas such as La Dreta de l'Eixample, L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni, we trowel on two base coats and two finishing coats, sanding between each one. The colour is mixed into the material rather than painted on, so a knock does not reveal a different shade underneath.
With over 20 years' experience in finishes, we protect furniture and doors, work tidily and clear up when we finish. Nearby areas we also cover: L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Esplugues de Llobregat and Sant Cugat del Vallès.

Frequently asked questions
01Microcement application in Barcelona: which areas do you cover?
We do this work in Barcelona, in areas such as El Raval, El Barri Gòtic, La Barceloneta, Sant Pere, Santa Caterina i la Ribera, La Dreta de l'Eixample, L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni, and also nearby: L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Esplugues de Llobregat and Sant Cugat del Vallès. Before starting we visit the property and prepare a detailed written quote.
02Can microcement go over tiles?
Yes, as long as the tiles are firmly bonded. We fill the joints and apply primer and mesh, so there is no breaking out and no rubble.
03Is microcement slippery in a shower?
It need not be. In wet areas we use a grainier finish and a non-slip sealer suitable for bare feet.
04How do you look after it?
Water and a neutral soap, no bleach or abrasive products. Over time the varnish can be renewed without redoing the microcement.
