Where the unit goes and how the ducts run
In early 20th-century blocks and 1960s–70s buildings in areas such as Sants, Sants - Badal and Hostafrancs, ceiling height is tight for a false ceiling. We route the ducts along the hallway and over the bathrooms, where a lower ceiling is barely noticed, and carry the unit up the shared stairs within the building's working hours.
In areas such as La Bordeta and La Font de la Guatlla we keep the fresh-air intake apart from the stale-air exhaust so they never mix, and insulate any ducts crossing cold spaces to prevent condensation. With silencers and low fan speeds, the system is barely audible in the bedrooms.
The same site manager is with you from the visit to commissioning, and we clear dust and duct offcuts before we leave. We also cover nearby areas: Eixample, Les Corts and Ciutat Vella.

Frequently asked questions
01Mechanical ventilation installation in Sants-Montjuïc: which areas do you cover?
We work in Sants-Montjuïc in areas such as Sants, Sants - Badal, Hostafrancs, La Bordeta, La Font de la Guatlla, El Poble-sec, La Marina de Port and La Marina del Prat Vermell, and also nearby: Eixample, Les Corts and Ciutat Vella.
02What is the difference between single-flow and balanced systems?
A single-flow system extracts air from the kitchen and bathrooms, and fresh air comes in through trickle vents in the windows. A balanced system supplies and extracts through ducts and, with heat recovery, reuses the warmth of the outgoing air.
03Is mechanical ventilation noisy?
Properly sized, it runs at low speed and is barely audible. We place the unit away from the bedrooms and use suitable ducts and silencers.
04Will I still need to open the windows?
Not to renew the air: the system does that continuously. You can open them whenever you like, but you no longer depend on it.
