What a terrace enclosure includes
-
Survey of the opening
We measure width, height and supports to choose a system that copes with local wind.
-
Frameless glass curtain
Toughened glass panels with no vertical profiles that stack to one side.
-
Aluminium sliding system
Thermally broken profiles and double glazing if you want more insulation.
-
Roof for open terraces
Polycarbonate or panel roofing where the terrace has nothing overhead.
-
Fixing and sealing
Fixed to the slab or balustrade and sealed so water stays out.
-
Drained tracks
Water outlets and flashings so rain does not reach the terrace floor.
Before enclosing the terrace: what we check
In older buildings in areas such as Sants, Sants - Badal and Hostafrancs, long glass panels and profiles do not always fit up the stairs or in the lift. We order panels in manageable sizes, protect the entrance and landings and fit the work around the building's agreed hours.
If you want to keep out cold and noise, in areas such as La Bordeta and La Font de la Guatlla we suggest thermally broken aluminium sliders with double glazing. We use a sub-frame or direct fixing to suit the support and seal with neutral silicone inside and out.
After the visit and written quote we protect floors and façade during fitting, test every panel and remove all offcuts. We also cover the surrounding area: Eixample, Les Corts and Ciutat Vella.

Frequently asked questions
01Terrace enclosure installation in Sants-Montjuïc: which areas do you cover?
We work in Sants-Montjuïc in areas such as Sants, Sants - Badal, Hostafrancs, La Bordeta, La Font de la Guatlla, El Poble-sec, La Marina de Port and La Marina del Prat Vermell, and also nearby: Eixample, Les Corts and Ciutat Vella.
02What is the difference between a glass curtain and a sliding system?
A glass curtain has no vertical profiles and the whole thing folds to one side, so in summer the terrace is almost fully open. An aluminium sliding system closes more tightly and insulates more against cold and noise, but the profiles always remain visible.
03Will it stand up to wind on a penthouse or seafront terrace?
Yes, provided the system and glass thickness are chosen for that exposure. At the visit we assess height, orientation and supports, and factor them into the quote.
04Can a terrace with an existing balustrade be enclosed?
Yes. Depending on its condition, the enclosure is fixed on top of the balustrade or the balustrade is replaced by a low wall or bottom profile that acts as a base.
