Why a drain stops flowing
In older buildings in areas such as El Clot and El Camp de l'Arpa del Clot, we still find lead waste pipes running under the floor to a shared trap, often flattened or furred with limescale. We replace them with PVC and a separate trap for each fixture, and join the communal stack without touching the neighbours' side.
If the basin gurgles when the bath empties, the problem is usually venting.
