From roof vent to drain: how we renew a stack
In older buildings in areas such as El Clot and El Camp de l'Arpa del Clot, the stack is usually cast iron, runs through a narrow duct or the lightwell and carries patches from different decades. We replace it in full, from the roof vent down to the ground-floor collector.
In homes in areas such as El Poblenou, El Parc i la Llacuna del Poblenou and La Vila Olímpica del Poblenou, we use acoustic PVC or multilayer sound-insulated pipe, with sound-isolating brackets at every floor slab.
