What changes in a properly converted basement
In areas such as El Clot and El Camp de l'Arpa del Clot basements usually sit beneath older houses or under the ground floor of apartment buildings, with stone or brick walls against the soil and salt marks low down. Access is nearly always a narrow stair, so we carry materials down by hand and take rubble out in sacks.
