What we check before the first plank clicks in
In 1960s and 70s flats in areas such as El Clot and El Camp de l'Arpa del Clot the terrazzo is usually sound but worn, and laminate can go straight over it. That means no rubble carried down narrow stairs and far less noise in the building.
In homes across areas such as El Poblenou, El Parc i la Llacuna del Poblenou and La Vila Olímpica del Poblenou we decide plank direction by where the light comes in and the shape of the room. The offcut is split so the last rows along the wall are not left too narrow.
