Bowl, tap and trap: how we leave them
In kitchens in older buildings in areas such as El Clot and El Camp de l'Arpa del Clot, we sometimes find lead or iron pipe under the sink and valves that no longer close. When replacing the set we fit new isolation valves and the right transition fittings, without straining the old pipework.
For undermount sinks in homes in areas such as El Poblenou, El Parc i la Llacuna del Poblenou and La Vila Olímpica del Poblenou, we fix the bowl to the stone or porcelain with clips and adhesive and seal the joint from below. The cut-out edge is polished, with no lip for dirt to collect.
