What we check before taking out a bath
In older flats in areas such as El Clot and El Camp de l'Arpa del Clot the bath is often heavy cast iron and the waste runs to a shared soil stack with little fall. We cut it up inside the bathroom to carry it down the stairs without damaging common areas, and check how low the tray can sit.
In bathrooms in areas such as El Poblenou, El Parc i la Llacuna del Poblenou and La Vila Olímpica del Poblenou the waterproof membrane is the key element: it covers the whole base, runs up the shower walls and overlaps the waste so no leak reaches the flat below. We bed the tray on it with mortar or adhesive and level it with just the right fall.
Send us a photo of the bath and we will arrange a visit to check the waste and walls; you then receive a written quote with tray, screen and labour listed separately. We also convert baths in nearby areas: Ciutat Vella, Eixample and Sant Andreu.

Frequently asked questions
01Bath-to-shower conversion in Sant Martí: which areas do you cover?
We do this work in Sant Martí, in areas such as El Clot, El Camp de l'Arpa del Clot, El Poblenou, El Parc i la Llacuna del Poblenou, La Vila Olímpica del Poblenou, Diagonal Mar i el Front Marítim del Poblenou, Provençals del Poblenou and Sant Martí de Provençals, and also nearby: Ciutat Vella, Eixample and Sant Andreu. Before starting we visit the property and prepare a detailed written quote.
02Do all the bathroom tiles have to come off?
No. We remove the band of tiles around the bath and the panel at the front; the rest of the room stays if it is in good condition.
03Can the tray sit flush with the floor?
It depends on the height of the waste and the floor slab. On the visit we check whether a flush fit is possible or a low-profile tray on the floor is wiser.
04Which tray suits older people?
One with a very low edge, a non-slip surface and room for a grab rail or fold-down seat fixed to a solid wall.
