When is a living room worth renovating?

  • Living room cut off from the kitchen
  • A single ceiling light
  • TV cables on show
  • Old or lifting floor

What a living room renovation includes

  • Opening up to the kitchen

We remove partitions to bring more space and light into the day area.

  • Plasterboard TV wall

A recess for the TV, display niches and cables hidden inside the wall.

  • Layered lighting

Indirect LED coves, spotlights and separate circuits for every mood.

  • Continuous flooring

Wood, porcelain tile or microcement with no breaks between rooms.

  • Discreet air conditioning

Ducted air conditioning in the false ceiling, with slim linear grilles.

  • Outlets where you need them

Sockets, data and aerial points by the sofa, the TV and the desk.

What we change in a living room before the furniture goes in

In areas such as Sant Andreu and La Trinitat Vella many living rooms in older buildings face the street through a balcony and have high ceilings with cornices. We keep the cornices wherever possible and run new lighting through chases or a perimeter false ceiling that leaves them visible.

When we join the living room and kitchen in areas such as La Sagrera, Navas and El Congrés i els Indians we bring the floor levels together so a continuous surface can be laid without trims, and we treat the joint with the old wall so no cracks appear once painted.

While the work is under way we close off the living room with sheeting so dust does not reach the rest of the home, and hand it over clean, ready for the furniture. We renovate living rooms nearby too: Nou Barris, Horta-Guinardó and Sant Martí.

Frequently asked questions

01

Living room renovation in Sant Andreu: which areas do you cover?

We work in Sant Andreu in areas such as Sant Andreu, La Trinitat Vella, La Sagrera, Navas, El Congrés i els Indians, El Bon Pastor and Baró de Viver, and also nearby: Nou Barris, Horta-Guinardó and Sant Martí.

02

How are the TV and equipment cables hidden?

We run concealed conduit from the outlet to the unit or build a plasterboard lining with niches, so only the screen is visible.

03

Can air conditioning be fitted without the unit on show?

Yes, with a ducted system: the unit sits in the false ceiling of the hallway or bathroom and only linear grilles appear in the living room.
