What makes a kitchen solid and level
In older buildings in areas such as Sant Andreu and La Trinitat Vella kitchen walls are usually solid brick or thin hollow-tile partitions, and each needs a different fixing for wall units. We check before hanging anything, and carry assembled units up the stairs if the lift is small.
To finish, in homes in areas such as La Sagrera, Navas and El Congrés i els Indians we adjust hinges and runners until doors and drawer fronts have even gaps, fit the plinth, cornice and end panels, and leave the base units at the exact height for the worktop fitter.
More than 20 years fitting kitchens means we spot problems on the visit; the quote comes in writing and a site manager coordinates fitter, plumber and electrician. We also cover nearby areas: Nou Barris, Horta-Guinardó and Sant Martí.
