From fixing point to handrail: how we approach it
In older buildings in areas such as Sant Andreu and La Trinitat Vella, many wrought-iron railings are set into the stone or brick of the balcony, and rust at the base has burst the edge. We repair that support before fitting the new railing and, if the balcony faces the street, protect the pavement below.
