What shapes the design of a bespoke piece
Early 20th-century flats have alcoves, high ceilings and walls out of plumb, exactly where a standard unit leaves gaps. We build floor-to-ceiling bookcases with scribing pieces trimmed on site against walls and mouldings (typical of areas such as Sant Andreu and La Trinitat Vella).
For panelling and headboards we fix levelled battens to the wall and mount timber panels or slats on top, leaving access for sockets and switches. Joints are lined up with doors and windows.
