Recent work
Consumer units in Nou Barris: what we usually find
In older buildings in areas such as Porta, Vilapicina i la Torre Llobeta and El Turó de la Peira, we still find porcelain fuse holders or a single switch for the whole flat. Before fitting the new unit we test the insulation of every circuit, because very old cable is something to know about before it is reconnected.
In flats and premises in areas such as La Prosperitat, Verdun and Les Roquetes, before removing the old board we identify every cable and note which room it feeds. That way each circuit reaches the new unit with a breaker matched to the cable size.
With over 20 years in electrical installations, we replace the board methodically and leave the hallway clean and tidy. Nearby areas we also cover: Horta-Guinardó, Sant Andreu and Montcada i Reixac.

We work in Nou Barris in areas such as Porta, Vilapicina i la Torre Llobeta, El Turó de la Peira, Can Peguera, La Prosperitat, Verdun, Les Roquetes and La Guineueta, and also nearby: Horta-Guinardó, Sant Andreu and Montcada i Reixac.
02Can the consumer unit be replaced without rewiring?
Yes, if the wiring is in good condition. We test its insulation first; if any circuit fails, we point it out in the quote so you can decide what to do with it.
03What does a surge protection device do?
It cuts the supply when a voltage spike arrives from the grid or a storm, protecting the fridge, boiler, computer and other connected equipment.
04Will I be without power during the work?
Only while the old unit is disconnected and the new one is connected. We agree the time of the cut with you and leave everything working before we go.
