Microcement in Nou Barris: how we prepare each surface
In older buildings in areas such as Porta, Vilapicina i la Torre Llobeta and El Turó de la Peira, hydraulic tile floors and 1960s–70s wall tiling are rarely perfectly flat. Before the microcement goes on, we fill the joints, level out any steps and check that no tile sounds hollow.
In the bathrooms we renovate in areas such as La Prosperitat, Verdun and Les Roquetes, we start with the shower: we waterproof the tiled tray and corners with tape and membrane before the first coat of microcement, so water never reaches the substrate.
With over 20 years' experience in finishes, we protect furniture and doors, work tidily and clear up when we finish. Nearby areas we also cover: Horta-Guinardó, Sant Andreu and Montcada i Reixac.

Frequently asked questions
01Microcement application in Nou Barris: which areas do you cover?
We work in Nou Barris in areas such as Porta, Vilapicina i la Torre Llobeta, El Turó de la Peira, Can Peguera, La Prosperitat, Verdun, Les Roquetes and La Guineueta, and also nearby: Horta-Guinardó, Sant Andreu and Montcada i Reixac.
02Can microcement go over tiles?
Yes, as long as the tiles are firmly bonded. We fill the joints and apply primer and mesh, so there is no breaking out and no rubble.
03Is microcement slippery in a shower?
It need not be. In wet areas we use a grainier finish and a non-slip sealer suitable for bare feet.
04How do you look after it?
Water and a neutral soap, no bleach or abrasive products. Over time the varnish can be renewed without redoing the microcement.
