How we prepare a ceiling in Les Corts before painting
Painting ceilings in areas such as Les Corts and La Maternitat i Sant Ramon means carrying scaffolding and materials up narrow stairs and working within the community of owners' hours. We sheet floors and furniture and take down light fittings before we start.
On the ceilings we paint in areas such as Pedralbes and Zona Universitària we start with protection: sheeting on floors and furniture, tape along the wall line and light fittings removed or covered. Then we fill cracks and sand the repairs.
When we finish we refit the lights, take up the protection and leave the room clean. We also work nearby: Sarrià-Sant Gervasi, Sants-Montjuïc and Eixample.

Frequently asked questions
01Ceiling painting in Les Corts: which areas do you cover?
We work in Les Corts in areas such as Les Corts, La Maternitat i Sant Ramon, Pedralbes and Zona Universitària, and also nearby: Sarrià-Sant Gervasi, Sants-Montjuïc and Eixample.
02Can you paint a ceiling with damp stains?
Yes, once the leak has been fixed and the ceiling is dry. We apply a stain-blocking primer and then the finishing paint so the mark does not come back.
03Why use a special paint for ceilings?
Matt ceiling paint reflects less of the low-angle light from windows and lamps, so roller marks and irregularities in the plaster do not show.
04Do you paint ceilings with plaster cornices?
Yes. We fill cracks in the plasterwork, seal the joint with the wall and paint the mouldings by brush so the detail is not lost.
