Consumer units in Horta-Guinardó: what we usually find
In 1960s and 70s flats in areas such as El Baix Guinardó, El Guinardó and Can Baró, the board usually sits in a recess by the front door that is too small for modern protection devices. We enlarge the recess or fit a surface-mounted enclosure, and agree the time of the power cut within the building's hours.
In flats and premises in areas such as El Carmel and La Teixonera, before removing the old board we identify every cable and note which room it feeds. That way each circuit reaches the new unit with a breaker matched to the cable size.
With over 20 years in electrical installations, we replace the board methodically and leave the hallway clean and tidy. Nearby areas we also cover: Gràcia, Nou Barris and Sant Andreu.
