When does a wall-hung toilet make sense?

  • You want a clear floor to clean
  • A visible, noisy cistern
  • A floor-standing pan takes up room
  • You are renovating the bathroom

What the wall-hung toilet installation includes

  • Wall assessment

We check whether the partition can take a concealed cistern or needs a stud wall.

  • Concealed frame

A steel frame with built-in cistern, anchored to floor and wall.

  • Supply and waste

Connection to the soil stack and an isolation valve inside the frame.

  • Moisture-resistant boarding

We close it in with moisture-resistant board, ready for tiling.

  • Height to suit you

We hang the pan at whatever height is most comfortable for its users.

  • Removable flush plate

A dual-flush plate that gives access to the cistern for servicing.

Frame, waste and boxing-in: how we handle it

In 1960s and 70s flats in areas such as La Vila de Gràcia and El Camp d'en Grassot i Gràcia Nova, the soil stack is often in a corner and the toilet sits away from it on a long connector. We position the frame so the waste bend reaches it with enough fall and, if the pan needs moving, we assess it on the visit.

For boxing-in in flats in areas such as La Salut, El Coll and Vallcarca i els Penitents, we use metal studs and moisture-resistant board and mark the exact flush-plate opening. The tiler can then cut to size and the access stays neat, never covered over.

A site manager coordinates the plumbing, boxing-in and tiling, and we protect the rest of the bathroom while we work. At the end we leave it clean. Nearby we also cover: Eixample, Sarrià-Sant Gervasi and Horta-Guinardó.

Frequently asked questions

01

Wall-hung toilet installation in Gràcia: which areas do you cover?

We do this work in Gràcia, in areas such as La Vila de Gràcia, El Camp d'en Grassot i Gràcia Nova, La Salut, El Coll and Vallcarca i els Penitents, and also nearby: Eixample, Sarrià-Sant Gervasi and Horta-Guinardó. Before starting we visit the property and prepare a detailed written quote.

02

Can a wall-hung toilet take an adult's weight?

Yes. The load is carried not by the partition but by the steel frame anchored to floor and wall, which is why it must be fixed and levelled carefully.

03

What if the concealed cistern goes wrong?

It can be repaired without breaking anything: the mechanism comes out through the flush plate opening. That is why we never tile over that access.

04

Is building work needed to replace a floor-standing toilet?

Some, yes: the wall has to be opened or built out to house the frame, the waste adapted and the finish made good.
