Hallways in the Eixample: common problems and fixes
In older buildings in areas such as La Dreta de l'Eixample and L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample a long hallway often runs the full depth of the flat, from the street side to the courtyard, under high ceilings. We drop part of the ceiling with an access-panel system to carry services and space downlights along the route.
For hallways in areas such as La Nova Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni we fill alcoves and end walls with shallow made-to-measure cupboards for linen or cleaning gear, without narrowing the passage.
