Partial kitchen renovation in the Eixample: what to keep
In areas such as La Dreta de l'Eixample and L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample many kitchens in older buildings were refitted some years ago and the units are still sound, but the splashback and worktop look dated. We replace just those parts and avoid carrying whole units up narrow stairs.
For worktops in areas such as La Nova Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni we remove the old one without damaging the units, level the base units and make a template. The sink can be undermounted or flush-fitted, and the tap is connected with new flexible hoses.
We work in stages and cover the units that stay; at the end we adjust the doors and leave the kitchen clean. We cover nearby areas too: Gràcia, Sant Martí and Ciutat Vella.
