When we renovate a house in areas such as La Dreta de l'Eixample and L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample, it is usually an early 20th-century villa or a two or three-storey terraced house. Narrow streets mean the skip, deliveries and working hours have to be planned well ahead.
To cut running costs for a house in areas such as La Nova Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni, we insulate the roof and façade, fit thermally broken windows and renew the heating and cooling. A heat pump with underfloor heating works well once the envelope is insulated.
