Bathroom with a shower tray and black-framed screen

Small bathroom renovation in the Eixample.

We replan narrow bathrooms and cloakrooms in the Eixample with shallow fittings, a flush shower and plenty of light, so they look and work like a larger room.

When is a small bathroom worth replanning?

  • The door hits the basin
  • A bath taking up half the room
  • Nowhere to store anything
  • Dark and cramped

What a small bathroom renovation includes

  • Every centimetre planned

We position shower, toilet and basin so they never get in your way.

  • Level-access shower

A low-profile tray or tiled walk-in that frees floor space and opens up the room.

  • Sliding pocket door

A door that slides into the wall where a hinged one has no room to swing.

  • Recessed niches

Shelves built into the shower wall, with no brackets sticking out.

  • Shallow fittings

Compact basin, wall-hung vanity and a short-projection toilet.

  • Light and mirror

Recessed LED lighting and a wide mirror that adds a sense of depth.

Small bathrooms in the Eixample: how we gain space

In areas such as La Dreta de l'Eixample and L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample many bathrooms in older buildings are narrow, with a window onto the light well and the shared soil stack in a corner. We position the WC by that stack and move the shower to the far end, where it is least in the way.

In areas such as La Nova Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni we build the shower tray to fit the space, falling to a drain, with a waterproof membrane under the tiles. A fixed glass panel with no door uses the full width of the room.

A site manager coordinates the plumber, tiler and electrician; we protect hallways and access routes, and the bathroom is left clean at the end. We also cover nearby areas: Gràcia, Sant Martí and Ciutat Vella.

Frequently asked questions

01

Small bathroom renovation in the Eixample: which areas do you cover?

We work in the Eixample in areas such as La Dreta de l'Eixample, L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample, La Nova Esquerra de l'Eixample, Sant Antoni, La Sagrada Família and El Fort Pienc, and also nearby: Gràcia, Sant Martí and Ciutat Vella.

02

Can a comfortable shower fit in a very narrow bathroom?

Usually, yes. A made-to-measure tray and a fixed glass panel with no door use the full width; the main constraint is where the soil stack is.

03

Which tiles make a bathroom look bigger?

Light colours, large formats with few grout lines and the same material on floor and walls all help. Keep mosaic to a single feature wall.
