Façades in the Eixample: the condition we usually find
In early 20th-century buildings in areas such as La Dreta de l'Eixample and L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample, façades have mouldings, cornices and balconies with iron railings that need careful hand work. Where the street is narrow or a light well leaves no room for scaffolding, we work on ropes.
On façades in areas such as La Nova Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni we hand-finish mouldings, cornices, eaves and balcony edges, and sand and coat railings and grilles with anti-rust enamel. Large sections are rollered in two cross coats.
A site manager coordinates the scaffolding or rope access, and at the end we remove protection and clean the pavement and balconies. We also work nearby: Gràcia, Sant Martí and Ciutat Vella.
