Kitchen and bathroom taps in the Eixample: what we usually find
In older buildings in areas such as La Dreta de l'Eixample and L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample, the shower often still has a two-handle tap with wall connections at an unusual spacing. We measure between centres and use offset unions so the new tap fits without disturbing the tiles.
For concealed taps in bathrooms in areas such as La Nova Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni, we set the valve body at the depth the tile thickness requires and pressure-test before closing the wall. We open only the area needed and replace the tiles.
