Extractor hoods in the Eixample: where the air can go
In older buildings in areas such as La Dreta de l'Eixample and L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample, the kitchen usually opens onto a light well or utility gallery, and the only possible outlet is a shared duct or a hole through the inner façade. We check which duct can be used and raise it with the residents' association before opening anything.

04Can I reuse the old hood's duct?
If the diameter is large enough and the duct is clean and intact, yes. A narrow duct or one with many bends reduces extraction and adds noise, so we check it first.
