Multi-split in the Eixample: how we place the units
In flats in older buildings in areas such as La Dreta de l'Eixample and L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample, the residents' association often limits units on the façade or in the lightwell. A multi-split serves several rooms from one outdoor unit, which we try to place on the roof or in the inner gallery.
In the multi-splits we fit in areas such as La Nova Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni, each indoor unit has its own pair of insulated copper pipes back to the outdoor unit. We label every line at both ends so connections are never crossed, and pressure-test with nitrogen.
