Bespoke furniture in the Eixample: where we start
In early 20th-century flats in areas such as La Dreta de l'Eixample and L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample there are alcoves, high ceilings and walls out of plumb, exactly where a standard unit leaves gaps. We build floor-to-ceiling bookcases with scribing pieces trimmed on site to close against walls and mouldings.
In areas such as La Nova Esquerra de l'Eixample and Sant Antoni we use lacquered MDF for painted pieces, natural veneer for a timber look and solid wood where there is wear, such as desk tops or seats. In bathrooms and beside windows we use moisture-resistant board.
