  • Corridors that waste floor area
  • Dark, narrow rooms

What a small flat renovation includes

  • A plan worked out to the centimetre

We study every metre and every window before touching a wall.

  • Fewer partitions, more space

We join the kitchen and living room or remove corridors that add nothing.

  • Pocket sliding doors

Doors that slide into the partition and take up no room when open.

  • Floor-to-ceiling storage

Built-in wardrobes and high cupboards that use every corner.

  • Light that opens up the space

Recessed spotlights, light colours and one continuous floor throughout.

  • Relocated services

Sockets and outlets placed to suit the new furniture.

Renovating a small flat in Ciutat Vella: what we usually suggest

In areas such as El Barri Gòtic and El Raval small flats are often in buildings with a narrow staircase and a tiny lift, so made-to-measure wardrobes and sliding doors are built in sections that fit on the way up. The owners' association sets the working hours and we keep to them.

When we move the kitchen or bathroom in flats in areas such as Sant Pere, Santa Caterina and La Ribera, we first check the fall to the soil stack and where the extractor can vent. Sockets and outlets are placed to suit the final furniture layout, not the old installation.

We measure the flat on the visit, show you options on the plan and prepare a detailed written quote; the site manager coordinates everything through to handover. We also renovate flats nearby: Eixample, Sants-Montjuïc and Sant Martí.

Frequently asked questions

01

Small flat renovation in Ciutat Vella: which areas do you cover?

We do this work in Ciutat Vella, in areas such as El Barri Gòtic, El Raval, Sant Pere, Santa Caterina, La Ribera and La Barceloneta, and also nearby: Eixample, Sants-Montjuïc and Sant Martí. Before starting we visit the property and prepare a detailed written quote.

02

Can the kitchen be opened up to the living room in a small flat?

Usually, yes. We check whether the wall is load-bearing, where the cooker hood can vent and where the outlets go, then propose an open kitchen that does not crowd the living area.

03

What makes a small flat feel bigger?

One continuous floor with no changes between rooms, sliding doors, light colours, recessed lighting and made-to-measure wardrobes that reach the ceiling.
