How we repair a balcony in Ciutat Vella
In 1960s and 70s buildings in areas such as El Barri Gòtic and El Raval balconies are concrete with thin cover, and water eventually reaches the reinforcement. As the façade is common property, we coordinate the repair with the residents' association and protect the pavement below.
In areas such as Sant Pere, Santa Caterina and La Ribera we also take care of the final look: non-slip outdoor tiles, the edge painted to match the façade and joints sealed with flexible sealant. We check the drain or spout so water does not pond on the balcony.
We inspect the balcony up close, assess the damage and access and give you a detailed written quote; a site manager coordinates the job and we remove protection and rubble at the end. We also repair balconies in nearby areas: Eixample, Sants-Montjuïc and Sant Martí.

Frequently asked questions
01Balcony renovation in Ciutat Vella: which areas do you cover?
We do this work in Ciutat Vella, in areas such as El Barri Gòtic, El Raval, Sant Pere, Santa Caterina, La Ribera and La Barceloneta, and also nearby: Eixample, Sants-Montjuïc and Sant Martí. Before starting we visit the property and prepare a detailed written quote.
02Is a balcony with exposed steel dangerous?
It shows that the reinforcement is rusting and pushing the concrete outwards. It should be checked as soon as possible: we remove loose pieces, protect the steel and rebuild the front.
03Is scaffolding needed to repair a balcony?
Not always. A lot of the work can be done from the balcony itself; for the edge and the underside we use a platform, scaffolding or rope access depending on the height and the façade.
