How we add lighting and two-way switching in Ciutat Vella
In areas such as El Barri Gòtic and El Raval, many 1960s and 70s flats have a single light point in the middle of the ceiling and conduits already full. We pull new cables where they fit and, if chases are needed in the brickwork, we cut them within the building's permitted noise hours.
In houses and premises in areas such as Sant Pere, Santa Caterina and La Ribera, we check which circuit the new points join and whether its protection in the consumer unit is right. We use the cable size required by the REBT and put outdoor lighting on its own RCD-protected circuit.
On the visit we mark every point and switch with you and give you a detailed written quote; when we finish we fill the chases and clear the dust. We also work in nearby areas: Eixample, Sants-Montjuïc and Sant Martí.

Frequently asked questions
01Light point installation in Ciutat Vella: which areas do you cover?
We do this work in Ciutat Vella, in areas such as El Barri Gòtic, El Raval, Sant Pere, Santa Caterina, La Ribera and La Barceloneta, and also nearby: Eixample, Sants-Montjuïc and Sant Martí. Before starting we visit the property and prepare a detailed written quote.
02Can a light be switched from two places without building work?
Usually, yes. We use the existing conduit to run the two-way cable; if there is no free route, we cut a short chase and fill it afterwards.
03Will you fit light fittings I have bought myself?
Yes. We hang and connect pendants, ceiling lights and wall lights, check that the ceiling can take the weight and use the right fixings for each material.
