When a terrace leaks: what we check
In areas such as Casc Antic and La Romànica most homes are flats from the 1960s to the 1980s with built terraces and parapets prone to cracking. Besides the floor, we repair the low walls, fit new copings and seal the junctions where water usually gets in.
On the terraces we renovate in areas such as Eixample-Can Llobet, Estació-Ca n'Esteper and Can Serra we strip the flooring down to the slab to see the real condition of the base. We then form falls of 1 to 5 % towards the outlets, as the CTE sets out, so no puddles remain.
