Underfloor heating in Badalona: height, structure and equipment
On houses in residential estates in areas such as Dalt la Vila, Centre and Progrés the ground floor usually rests on a slab in contact with the soil. There we lay thicker insulation and a damp-proof membrane so heat does not escape downwards.
In homes in areas such as Sant Roc, Artigues and El Gorg we start with the perimeter strip and insulation boards, with no gaps between them. On top we lay the pipe in a spiral, closer together near large windows and outside walls, where the home loses most heat.
