Laminate flooring in Badalona: what we lay it over
In houses on estates and in areas such as Dalt la Vila, Centre and Progrés, shut for part of the year, damp can rise through ground-floor slabs. We test the base, lay a vapour barrier and choose a laminate suited to those conditions.
In flats in areas such as Sant Roc, Artigues and El Gorg we start by running a long straightedge over the whole floor: sunken joints and high spots are corrected with levelling compound, as laminate on an uneven base ends up creaking and opening at the joints.
The site manager plans clearing the rooms in turn, and when we finish we vacuum and take away packaging and offcuts. We lay laminate in the surrounding areas too: Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Sant Adrià de Besòs and Montcada i Reixac.
