Before enclosing the terrace: what we check
In 1960s to 80s flats in areas such as Les Ginesteres, Can Raimir and Can Ferreters, the enclosure usually sits on the existing balustrade. We check it is firm and well anchored; if not, we replace it with a profile or low wall that can carry the enclosure's weight.
If you want to keep out cold and noise, in areas such as El Cros, Sant Miquel del Cros and Sant Jaume de Treià we suggest thermally broken aluminium sliders with double glazing. We use a sub-frame or direct fixing to suit the support and seal with neutral silicone inside and out.
After the visit and written quote we protect floors and façade during fitting, test every panel and remove all offcuts. We also cover the surrounding area: Mataró, Cabrera de Mar and Cabrils.

03Will it stand up to wind on a penthouse or seafront terrace?
Yes, provided the system and glass thickness are chosen for that exposure. At the visit we assess height, orientation and supports, and factor them into the quote.
04Can a terrace with an existing balustrade be enclosed?
Yes. Depending on its condition, the enclosure is fixed on top of the balustrade or the balustrade is replaced by a low wall or bottom profile that acts as a base.
